The Last Advertising Agency on Earth

FITC host cutting edge digital design and technology conferences featuring some of the world’s foremost digital creators. But last year, less than 5% of those attending its events were from traditional advertising agencies. So FITC created a web-only film about what will happen if the ad industry doesn’t do everything it can to embrace digital. The result was ‘The Last Advertising Agency on Earth’, a darkly humorous viral video that looked at a future where there are no agencies left. It immediately spread across the web – and even with the very limited target (ad people), ‘The Last Advertising Agency on Earth’ had more than 120,000 views on Vimeo and YouTube in the first three weeks. It was featured on over 13,000 industry-related blogs, and was reported widely in the industry press. The film increased traffic to the FITC website by 113% over the previous year. Best of all, the percentage of attendees from the advertising industry went from less than 5% in 2009 to 15% in 2010, a 233% increase.
